About the Role
We are currently looking to hire a Business Relationship Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take charge of merchant acquisition, develop effective sales strategies, and identify new opportunities for business growth.
What You’ll Get to Do

Drive business development activities and bring in new clients by selling the bank’s products and services

Cross-sell a range of banking solutions to existing and prospective customers

Proactively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach

Create and implement marketing strategies that help achieve sales targets

Lead daily sales team meetings to review previous performance and plan for the week ahead
-
Manage and nurture ongoing business relationships to ensure long-term partnerships
-
Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and understand customer needs
-
Participate in market storms, community fairs, and cluster marketing events such as trade fairs

Apply best practices to meet customer needs and expectations

Prepare and deliver engaging presentations on products and services
-
Collaborate with team members to drive better results

Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share insights with internal teams

Understand each customer’s financial goals and objectives

Recommend the most suitable financial products or services for each customer
What You Should Have (Requirements)
-
Minimum of 4–5 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries
-
Strong understanding of the local financial services landscape
-
Experience in marketing or sales within the banking sector, with a focus on onboarding and managing merchants
-
Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates is a strong advantage (a good network of enterprise merchants is highly valued)

Strong business acumen and analytical thinking
-
Ability to work independently and achieve goals with little or no supervision
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Tertiary education from a recognised institution
